Perhaps you're wondering why.

And the answer is simple: Because I felt like it.

This is the rest stop between what came before and simply bowing out of the entire enterprise. Let's see what happens. It will be primarily about the books now, with a bit about the music, museums, art, theater, movies, etc. for good measure.

Bring it. I still find fiction that is worthy of my time primarily through you, so I hope you will continue to blog.

You caught me by surprise--you're far from an old woman--but I'm glad to hear you aren't hanging up the blog altogether. I would miss you dearly. How much you've given us to read, think, learn about over the years!

I missed you, Mrs. M-mv. I wasn't sure how to get an invitation from you. I'm glad you have allowed us to continue to follow you.
I love your Shakespeare post and I entirely agree. He was/is brilliant - he is important.

I rather like it, but it will take some time to get used to calling you "old woman."

Hmm. Your decision to call it "An Old Woman Reading" makes me think, which I suspect you intended. I, too, am bemused (which I define as confused + attempting to puzzle it out), though perhaps out of vanity as I'm only a few years younger than you are. Heh.

In any case, I love your book posts and get many ideas from them, so am quite happy to keep reading during the blogging journey. It does twist and change after so many years, no?

You've served as a model homeschooling parent/teacher for me, and I find so many great reads through your site. Don't go!
